What you can do
Everything on this list is in Website in the sidebar, on your club's own
address — yourclub.swim.win/website, or your own domain. The editor needs to
know whose site it is building, and it learns that from the address. You need
the manage site permission, which an owner or club admin can grant you.
- Pages — build a page out of blocks (headings and text, photo figures, card grids, people grids, a schedule table, a calendar, an FAQ, a call to action, a join form), then publish it. Drag to reorder.
- News — posts with a date and an author, published or held as drafts.
- People — coach, board and athlete profiles, with photographs.
- Galleries — albums built from your media library.
- Sponsors — logos, links, tiers and the dates each sponsorship runs. Put the Sponsors block on any page to show the ones that are current today; a sponsorship drops off on its end date without anybody editing the page. A logo shows once it has cleared photo review — until then the sponsor's name is shown instead.
- Events — a public calendar, including repeating events.
- Media — one library for every photograph, with a consent review queue in front of anything showing a child.
Draft, preview, publish
Nothing you type is live until you publish it. While you work, the page has a draft you can share with a preview link — useful for getting a committee to agree on wording before the world sees it.
A page or a news post can also be scheduled: choose At a time I choose when you publish and give a date and time in your club's own time zone. It goes out within a minute of that time, credited to you, with whatever the draft says by then. Cancel the scheduled publish in the editor takes it back off the queue, and taking a post down cancels its schedule too.
Every publish keeps the previous version. Pages → a page → Versions shows the history and will put an older one back, so a bad edit is a couple of clicks to undo rather than a phone call. There are two ways back:
- Restore this version publishes the old version again, straight away. Your draft is not touched.
- Copy into draft puts the old version in the editor instead, so you can start from it. The website does not change until you publish.
Pages only members can read
Set a page's visibility to Members (Pages → a page → Settings) and publish it as usual. A signed-in member of the club, on the club's own address, sees it like any other page — put it in the menu if you like. Anybody else, including search engines, gets "not found", exactly as if the page did not exist, so a members page never gives away that it is there. Members pages are never cached and never indexed. A Staff page is never on the website at all; staff read it in the editor.
If two people edit the same page
SwimWin notices and says so, rather than letting the second save quietly erase the first. You will be asked which version to keep.
A calendar that cannot be wrong
Put the calendar block on a page and it draws from your real schedule and events. Every club with a hand-typed calendar on its website has a calendar that is wrong by March; this one cannot drift, because there is only one copy of the dates.
