Where they live
Club setup → Club settings (/setup/settings), for anyone holding
manage_club — owner and club_admin. The Settings item at the bottom
of the menu is your own account, not the club's.
Every save is recorded in the audit trail with the names of the settings that moved. Saving without changing anything records nothing.
What is on the screen
| Group | Settings |
|---|---|
| Ages and safeguarding | Protected-minor age (at least 18), age of majority (18–21), the age a child may have their own login (at least 13), the two-deep minimum (at least 2) |
| Gate and front desk | The longest a desk override can last (1–168 hours), how often a gate photo must be retaken |
| Memberships | How many days unpaid dues may run before a membership lapses (default 30) |
| Guests | Whether members can buy guest passes, the most guests one member may bring in a day, after how many visits a guest is flagged as a frequent visitor (default 5) |
| Messages | Quiet hours, text messages, chat, attachments in chats with minors, how long chats are kept |
| Advanced | Grace windows (days a reason stays yellow before it applies in full), which reasons the desk screen hides, stricter severities for a reason, gate values and feature switches. Only choices the gate will honour are offered; a red or safety reason can never be hidden or softened |
Protected-minor age and age of majority are two settings on purpose: who signs for themselves is not the same question as who is protected by the two-deep rule, and a club that lets 17-year-olds sign must not thereby take them out of the protected class.
The Safe Sport alternate is shown but not edited here. It is named with the Safe Sport lead's role, so a lead cannot pick their own backup.
Branding — the club's colour, logo and wordmark — lives with your club website.
What a club setting can never do
A club can tune the knobs. It cannot add, remove or rename a gate reason code, and it cannot make "blocked" reassuring:
- The reason catalogue is closed and identical for every club. The day one club calls it "outstanding balance" and another calls it "past due" is the day a report counting refusals stops meaning anything.
- The green / yellow / red vocabulary is not themeable, even by accident, even by a well-meaning admin who thinks red looks alarming at the front desk. A club's brand colour replaces exactly one thing — the accent — and never these three.
- Safety checks cannot be softened below their floor. The three safeguarding floors are enforced by the database itself, so the screen refuses a lower number before it is saved and the server would refuse it anyway.
